Position Overview:
CARIAN is seeking a motivated Project Analyst to support risk-related activities within capital project delivery for utility infrastructure programs. This is an ideal role for a candidate early in their career with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and an interest in project controls, risk, or data-driven project reporting.
You will work alongside project managers, staff engineers, and estimating teams to support risk tracking and assessment activities, with training provided on tools and frameworks.
Responsibilities:
•Develop and maintain project risk registers in specialized risk management software
•Support construction estimating teams in conducting early-stage project risk assessments using a custom feasibility tool
•Generate and analyze risk reports for both individual projects and portfolio-level assessments
•Assist in organizing and documenting pre-challenge sessions and workshops to capture key risk inputs
•Coordinate closely with stakeholders to ensure risk data is accurate, current, and actionable
Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related discipline
•Minimum of 1+ years of professional experience (internship or co-op experience may qualify)
•Strong attention to detail and comfort working with structured data
•Effective communicator and collaborator across multi-disciplinary teams
•Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic data tools; exposure to risk tools or dashboards a plus
•Prior experience supporting capital projects or infrastructure programs is preferred but not required
