Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Risk Analyst to support a comprehensive risk assessment initiative for a large project portfolio. This engagement includes scoring over 600 enterprise-level projects, aligning risk evaluation with organizational thresholds, and preparing detailed analytical reports. The role is instrumental in supporting broader strategic initiatives and ensuring that the organization maintains a clear understanding of risk exposure across its programs.
Key Responsibilities:
•Conduct thorough reviews of individual project data in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts to assess potential risks.
•Utilize established methodologies and scoring tools to assign risk scores across defined enterprise risk categories.
•Document rationale for risk scores and ensure consistency and accuracy across evaluations.
•Compare calculated scores to organizational risk appetite thresholds to determine project alignment with acceptable risk levels.
•Identify and flag projects that exceed or fall below the organization’s defined risk appetite.
•Generate comprehensive reports summarizing risk profiles across the portfolio, including trends, insights, and actionable recommendations.
•Collaborate with key stakeholders across departments to gather data and clarify scoring inputs.
•Continuously assess the risk scoring methodology for improvements and enhanced application.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
•Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large data sets and derive actionable insights.
•Proficient in risk assessment and data analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI, and Tableau.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in preparing reports and presentations for stakeholders.
•High attention to detail and accuracy in risk scoring and documentation.
•Proven problem-solving skills, including identification of methodology gaps and process improvements.
•Familiarity with risk management frameworks such as COSO or ISO31000 is preferred.
•Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
•Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and understand stakeholder needs.
Education & Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field required.
•Master’s degree in a related discipline is preferred but not required.
•Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in risk management or project management.
•Demonstrated experience in conducting risk assessments and data-driven reporting.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $38.00 - $42.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
