Independently manage portfolio of physical security technology capital projects valued at $10K and up to $1M.
• Lead efforts to mitigate risks associated with projects, alerting the PMO manager and key Corporate Security stakeholders of problem areas while working on mitigations with project teams.
• Review physical security engineering plans/drawing, to ensure solutions align with established security standards, processes and procedures, and business/project goals.
• Communicate daily (in person, on calls, and email) with variety of personnel in support scope, schedule, budgets, and coordination of vendor field activities.
• Present project status updates at daily, weekly, and monthly PMO project status calls/meetings.
• Maintain and update monthly project status reports for projects to ensure project health including, scope, schedule, and financial progress.
• Lead vendor activities to ensure construction efforts are executed per established schedules and capital spend commitments.
• Support monthly financial variance performance for all assigned projects.
• Document business case, budgets, schedule and project requirements in the form of project charters.
• Attend field job walks in support of new project engagements and scope assessments.
• Facilitate project status meetings with core project teams, as needed.
• Maintain thorough tracking and documentation of project accounting.
• Develop and maintain up-to-date financial forecasts, outlooks, and MS project schedules for all projects assigned.
• Review vendor dailies to ensure work progress and quality align with SCE standards.
• Lead and promote project safety and safe work practices in alignment with SCE safety standards.
• Engaging interpersonal and communication skills are meaningful to this role.
• 5 years or more of project management experience in related field.
• Experience developing medium to complex project schedules using MS Project.
• Experience maintaining project budgets and developing financial forecasts.
• Experience interpreting and/or designing electrical single-line and logic diagrams.
• Ability to read and interpret construction and MEP (Mechanical Electrical Plumbing) drawings.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Construction Management, Business or other related fields
