Production Worker – Glass Manufacturing

Position Overview:

We are hiring a reliable and detail oriented Production Worker to join our Tempering Department. This role involves hands on work in a fast paced environment where safety, precision and teamwork are essential. The ideal candidate is comfortable with physical labor, handling glass, standing for long periods and working in a hot and loud shop environment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Visually inspect glass for quality and defects

· Handle and move glass, including somewhat heavy lifting

· Measure glass using a tape measure to ensure accuracy

· Scan tags and complete paperwork for each job

· Pay attention to order dates and details to make sure each job makes its due date

· Perform minor maintenance on the tempering machine

· Keep the work area clean and organized

· Ensure orders are properly stored for picking and shipping

· Wet seaming raw glass

· Work in other departments and cross-train as needed

Qualifications:

· Glass experience is a plus, but no prior experience is required. We will provide comprehensive training.

· Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

· Ability to work in a fact paced environment with tight deadlines

· Comfortable working in a hot and noisy environment

· Physical dexterity and ability to lift and move heavy materials

· Comfortable with a fluctuating schedule that involves overtime in the busier season
