Pay range: Exempt position annual salary $84,000-$96,300

ABOUT THE TEAM
You will be part of Carmeuse Americas, a Rock-Star team of 2500 workers and employees bringing with them their own culture and specific needs. The Americas headquarters are located in Pittsburgh, PA and have over three dozen production facilities across the Eastern U.S., Canada, Chile, Brazil, and Colombia
Responsibilities
•Responsible for providing leadership to ensure all company safety rules and agency regulations are observed by all employees. This includes providing a safe workplace, planning the necessary resources in manpower and budgeting to accomplish site safety goals.
•Provide day-to-day guidance/assistance of hourly dock employees ensuring effective plant performance.
•Communicate site operating targets to meet and control finished product inventory.
•Planning, scheduling and oversight of work orders, dock maintenance activities, and schedule outages while meeting customer demand.
•Warehouse support to include inventory /supply chain preservation.
•Creating and managing purchase requisitions including shipping/receiving coordination and follow-up.
•Ensure appropriate records and data are input into SAP; backflushing previous day’s work, as required .
•Participate in onboarding and training of new employees as well as continued training and coaching of current employees.
•Participate in appropriate safety training for all assigned employees.
•Interface with MSHA and other governing health and safety agencies at local and federal level as required.
•Support regulatory compliance with environmental regulations per air, stormwater and spill prevention permits.
•Assisting SOM with forecasting dock projects to support capital investment plans current and future.
•Create/process/submit weekly production reports, financial budgeting reports, other reporting as needed.
•Collaborates with other departments and managers to cohesively reach production, employee, and corporate goals.
•Support management team roles when a member of the team is out of the office.
•Participate in required meetings, investigations, and other activities associated with site leadership, and management team, as appropriate.
•Provides task training to employees to ensure technical competence of employees is maintained.
•Actively assess work environment to remove potential safety and environmental risks.
•Comply with corporate policies and ensure supervisory actions do not violate them.
•Other duties as assigned.
Basic requirements (Education, Level of Experience, Language)
•Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
•Will consider relevant experience in lieu of degree.
•5+ years experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
•Basic mechanical knowledge and experience required.
•Prior Supervisory experience required.
•Customer service experience highly recommended.
•Must possess strong initiative, and excellent communication, leadership and organization skills. Highly effective communication skills and the ability to work well in self-directed team environment.
•Willingness to grow knowledge base through additional training programs.
Needed Knowledge and Skills (Technical knowledge required by the position)
Knowledge
•Proficient computer skills are required, including working knowledge of Oracle, UKG Payroll Dimensions, SAP, Microsoft Office suite and other business related software.
•Possesses strong analytical thinking skills to provide a logical, in-depth analysis of a problem or situation.
•Extensive knowledge and background of continuous manufacturing and production processes, knowledge and experience working contemporary concepts of continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing.
•Able to work effectively with Federal regulatory agencies, including MSHA and IDEM, ensuring regulatory compliance and understanding the impact on the business.
