As a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor, you’ll oversee daily operations and lead a dedicated crew in our climate-controlled Batesville facility, producing custom liners for vital pipeline rehabilitation projects across the country.
What You’ll Do
•Supervise production staff across sewing, felting, coating, shipping, and warehousing departments, overseeing approximately 60 employees on your shift.
•Promote a safety-first culture by conducting daily safety talks, ensuring PPE compliance, and supporting initiatives like Safe Start Principles and SPEAR.
•Ensure all work meets ISO and VPP quality standards while maintaining a clean, organized workspace using 5S methodology.
•Prioritize and manage workflow to meet production targets efficiently without compromising safety or quality.
•Complete and maintain accurate documentation for material usage, labor hours, inventory, waste reporting, and production performance.
•Provide coaching, mentorship, and training to support skill development, morale, and continuous improvement within your team.
•Handle staffing decisions, interviews, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions as needed.
•Collaborate with cross-functional departments to support overall plant productivity, improvement projects, and strategic goals.
•Participate directly in production processes and take initiative to recommend and implement procedural enhancements.

What We Need
•Associate degree preferred (or equivalent combination of education and hands-on supervisory experience)
•3–5 years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment required
•Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and coach teams in a high-paced setting
•Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across departments and shift levels while managing multiple priorities and enforcing safety/quality protocols
•Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for reporting and documentation
•Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs
•Willingness to work 10+ hour shifts on 2nd shift, with occasional first-shift or weekend coverage as needed
