Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Additive Facility / Production Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our additive manufacturing facility. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong technical knowledge of additive processes, production workflows, and team management. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality output, operational efficiency, safety compliance, and continuous improvement within the production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
•Oversee day-to-day operations of the additive manufacturing facility, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
•Lead and manage a team of technicians, operators, and engineers across various shifts.
•Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and production guidelines.
•Monitor performance metrics such as throughput, downtime, material utilization, and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
•Coordinate maintenance schedules for 3D printers and post-processing equipment to minimize downtime.
•Collaborate with design, quality, and engineering teams to optimize designs for additive manufacturing (DfAM) and resolve production issues.
•Manage inventory levels of raw materials, powders, and consumables.
•Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on lean manufacturing, process optimization, and cost reduction.
•Ensure all production documentation, logs, and quality records are maintained accurately.
•Stay up to date with new additive technologies, materials, and industry best practices.

Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field; advanced degree a plus.
•5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2+ years in additive manufacturing.
•Proven leadership and team management experience.
•Strong understanding of additive manufacturing processes (e.g., SLS, DMLS, SLA, FDM, Binder Jetting, etc.).
•Familiarity with CAD software, slicers, and ERP/MRP systems.
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
•Commitment to workplace safety and quality assurance.
Preferred Experience:
•Industry certifications (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, Additive Manufacturing certifications).
•Experience with metal additive manufacturing.
•Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or FDA/GMP regulated environments (as applicable).
