Title: Production Supervisor (Off-Shift)
Reports To: Operations Manager
Status: Full Time / Hourly Non-Exempt (40 hours/week; additional hours as needed to support organization and individual goals)
Job Requirements
•Two to five years of related experience and/or training, or an associate’s degree or equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
•Knowledgeable of CNC and manual machines used to manufacture tooling
•Ability to speak effectively before groups/employees
•Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations
•Ability to interpret a variety of instructions (written, oral, diagram, etc.)
•Ability to read and interpret documents
•Organization and computer skills
•Industrial Truck and Overhead Crane licenses
Job Summary
To oversee, inform, and instruct all production operations and personnel within the off-shift positions. To support & execute all manufacturing operations within the off-shifts, ensuring proper production and throughput is taking place. To lead and motivate team members and help to resolve issues. Effectively complete training plans to become cross-trained interdepartmentally to perform job responsibilities of any area within the facility to the best of abilities.
Essential Job Functions
•Oversee all manufacturing personnel in the off-shifts.
•Responsible for training/coordinating training new and existing employees in multiple departments and identify training needs as they arise.
•Complete all necessary paperwork, including absence reports, injury reports, and all shift paperwork.
•Requisitions supplies, including tooling, and other items needed in their department.
•Examines items produced to determine if items meet specifications.
•Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
•Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
•Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties
•Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems
•Conduct regular department meetings; cover topics such as scrap/rework, safety, training, policies, procedures, upcoming events, etc.
