We are currently seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee our finishing team. This person will play a critical role as the primary driving force of ensuring a smooth shift where all metrics and targets are met or exceeded. We are looking for a self-starter with a can-do attitude and a passion for quality, goal achievement, and employee development.

Job Title: Finishing Supervisor


Location: Houston


Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary: The Finishing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the Finishing Department, ensuring that all finishing operations are executed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with company standards. This role involves supervising daily production activities, maintaining quality control, enforcing safety and cleanliness protocols, and supporting team development.


Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate the activities of the Finishing Department.
Assign daily tasks and monitor progress.
Ensure proper staffing and shift coverage.
Provide direction and support to team members.
Monitor production output to ensure efficiency and adherence to quality standards.
Track daily production metrics and identify variances.
Implement corrective actions to address inefficiencies.
Ensure products meet quality specifications before release.
Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety regulations.
Conduct regular audits and inspections.
Train staff on GMP and safety protocols.
Enforce use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to team members.
Coordinate and follow up on training for new hires.
Mentor team members for skill development.
Maintain accurate records of production, waste, and equipment maintenance.
Log daily production and waste data.
Document equipment maintenance needs.
Ensure compliance with documentation standards.
Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the finishing area and equipment.
Oversee cleaning schedules and assignments.
Verify sanitation procedures are followed.
Ensure compliance with hygiene standards.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain operational standards.
Perform routine checks of workstations and equipment.
Document findings and follow up on corrective actions.


Cleanliness:

Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
Follow cleaning schedules and procedures for equipment and workspaces.
Ensure all tools and equipment are sanitized regularly.
Dispose of waste materials properly and promptly.
Adhere to hygiene standards and wear appropriate protective gear.


Qualifications:

Proven experience in a supervisory role within a production or manufacturing environment.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Knowledge of finishing equipment and processes.
Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.


Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 30lbs.
Manual dexterity for operating equipment.
