Company Overview

McDaniel Metals is a leading manufacturer of HVAC sheet metal products, including curb adaptors, economizers, and related commercial components. With multiple facilities and a growing production operation, we are looking for a hands-on leader to supervise our Curb Economizer (CE) department.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee the CE (Curb Economizer) department. This role is responsible for managing daily production activities, leading a team of assemblers and machine operators, and ensuring safety, quality, and delivery goals are consistently met.

This is a hands-on, floor-based leadership role in a fast-paced fabrication environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise production employees in the CE department (assembly, coil line, laser, press brake, material handling, etc.)

- Coordinate daily workflow based on schedules and customer demand

- Ensure all curb economizer units meet quality and safety standards

- Train, coach, and evaluate employees; address attendance and performance issues

- Monitor production metrics and reduce bottlenecks or rework

- Enforce safety policies, PPE use, and OSHA compliance

- Communicate with Scheduling, Engineering, Inventory, and Shipping

- Complete daily reports, attendance, and documentation

Qualifications

Required:

- 3+ years of manufacturing or fabrication experience (HVAC or sheet metal preferred) - 1+ year in a supervisor or lead role

- Working knowledge of production equipment (press brake, laser, assembly stations, coil lines)

- Strong communication and leadership skills

- Ability to read work orders and production drawings

- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

Preferred:

- Experience in HVAC manufacturing or metal fabrication

- Familiarity with lean principles or ERP/MRP systems

Work Environment & Physical Expectations

- Manufacturing floor setting warehouse

- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs

- Requires PPE and adherence to safety procedures

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
