Production Operations Manager
Job Summary:
The Production Manager will oversee the Assembly and Fuel Train Leads and create consistency with standard operating procedures amongst the entire company. Ensuring all needs are met and helping assist with project management. Some areas of responsibilities will include inventory, personnel management, QC of assemblies, product flow, etc.
Job Requirements:•Comprehensive knowledge of warehouse operations
•2+ years’ supervisory experience: including hiring, scheduling, training, performance management, staff development and associate discipline
•The ability to manage employees in a 5 day/week, multiple shift operation
•The ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
•Strong oral and written communication skills
•A good knowledge of OSHA regulations and requirements
•The ability to train others in assembly operations
•Outstanding leadership, customer service and problem-solving skills
•Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
•Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
•The ability to work flexible hours
•Superior organizational, multi-tasking and time-management skills
•Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office applications
•Read and understand P&IDs
Key Accountabilities:
•Organize and manage product assembly/manufacturing through the assembly and fuel train leads
+ Manage and update the build queues for team leads
+ Maintain build procedures for each assembly and train team regularly
•Assist the quality control team with quality control of Profire assembled products and with procedures and consistency in all warehouses
•Performs all personnel management functions for site associates including hiring, scheduling, timesheet review, training, performance management, staff development and associate discipline for QC and Safety
•Suggest changes in work processes and/or use of equipment to increase productivity of work crew
+ Encourage and solicit Kaizens from team members
+ Review and recommend Kaizens for implementation
+ Track approved Kaizens for cost savings and ROI
•Establishes or adjusts work procedures and schedules to meet customer needs
•Ensures the efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability of site operations
•Assist in supervising PF3100 and other special projects as assigned
+ Attend weekly project meetings
+ Read and understand PF3100 layout diagrams and wiring diagrams
+ Work with the Procurement department to ensure necessary components arrive within specified timeframe to complete projects.
+ Communicate and update the status of each project with the PF3100 Project Engineering Coordinator
•Ensure budgets are being met and managed appropriately
•Excellent working knowledge in the following positions:
+ RMA, Safety, QC, Warehouse, Inventory, Area Operations, Regional Operations
•Identify break-even and operating costs of in-house manufacturing and implement improvements
•Track and manage back order and stock levels
•Communicate needs and timelines with all internal teams
•Gather and track SQCDP data from teams
