Tri-Arc Manufacturing is currently seeking a 1st Shift, Production Line Supervisor for our plant located in Blawnox, PA - with a Monday through Friday, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm work schedule. Hours and schedules will vary based on business demands with start times as early as 4:00 am & end times as late as 5:00 pm). As Production Line Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the production of a department. You will lead a team of Welders and Machine Operators, to ensure efficient and timely completion of production schedules while maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy. Your role will involve production planning, monitoring inventory levels, implementing new strategies, enhancing existing ones, while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a thorough understanding of a manufacturing production environment along with a strong background with MIG welding and part fabrication processes (band saw, press brake, tube bending, punch press and shear). - Read and analyze work orders, production schedules, and other data to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs; direct and oversee the flow of work within the department
- Work closely with all shop personnel to ensure safety, productivity, employee morale and housekeeping are kept at a very high level
- Understand production requirements and adjust staffing as needed to ensure production levels are met, without sacrificing Safety or Quality
- Work with the management team and plant personnel to develop and document work procedures that ensure high quality work is being done safely.
- Train new employees – provide feedback in the form of employee reviews for all employees they are assigned.
- Visit workstations multiple times per shift; work closely with employees to keep a smooth production schedule
- Identify and address production hindrance to achieve production goals, while maintaining high quality and safety
- Other duties may be assigned, as needed- Bachelor's degree in a related field or high school diploma/GED with 5+ years of manufacturing supervision experience
- Proven experience and knowledge with welding processes and metal fabrication
- 3-5 years in a supervisory or managerial role; excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team
- Strong Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of products
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, with the capability to handle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and build positive relationships with vendors and customers.
- Proficient with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
