Our company is seeking a Production Lead to oversee our team of Production Associates. The Production Lead will report to the Supervisor and will be assist directly in production and be responsible for providing assistance and direction to the team members and will be involved in both administrative and production-related duties. The ideal candidate for this position has experience overseeing large-scale projects, excellent written and oral communication skills and a proven ability to motivate others. Forklift experience a plus but we can train.

We are a fabricated steel product manufacturer that has been based in Wewoka OK for over 40 years. We operate all types of steel processing equipment including but not limited to: presses, cold roll mills (flatteners), levelers, shears, slitters and more. This position would be a direct report to anywhere between 7 - 15 operators and assistants.

The day shift works Monday - Friday from 6:00 am until 3:30 pm. No on-call / no weekends. OT offered weekly.Company Overview

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Production Lead to oversee daily manufacturing operations within our facility. In this pivotal role, you will coordinate production activities on the assembly line, ensure safety and quality standards are met, and lead a team of manufacturing associates. Your mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience will drive efficiency and foster a productive work environment.

Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities on the manufacturing floor, ensuring smooth operation of the assembly line

- Lead and motivate team members to meet production goals while maintaining high safety standards

- Operate and oversee the use of forklifts, power tools, hand tools, and other mechanical equipment safely and effectively

- Monitor quality control processes to ensure products meet specifications and company standards

- Conduct regular safety inspections, enforce safety protocols, and promote a culture of safety awareness among team members

- Assist with training new employees in assembly procedures, tool usage, and safety practices

- Maintain accurate production records, logs, and reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement

Requirements

- Proven experience working in a manufacturing facility or factory environment with hands-on assembly line responsibilities

- Mechanical knowledge with familiarity using hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and warehouse equipment

- Prior warehouse or factory experience is highly preferred

- Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is a plus but not required

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

- Knowledge of safety protocols related to manufacturing operations and equipment handling

- Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and supervisors

Pay: $60,000.00 - $62,500.00 per year
