The Production Coordinator is part of the Eastern WA team that will assist in leading the production of small simple components to large, complex integrated equipment for projects that range from $1M to $30M+. Projects are mostly throughout the U.S. but the majority of your work will take place at the facility in Liberty Lake, WA. The Production Coordinator is responsible for supporting the production process by coordinating and managing various aspects of production, procurement, and design. This role requires strong organizational skills, proficiency in AutoCAD, ERP programs and experience in procurement. The successful candidate will ensure seamless production operations by collaborating with cross-functional teams, performing material take-offs, managing production schedules, and assisting with estimating and procurement tasks. Operate as the right hand to the Production Manager to meet PCT’s growing needs as well as support the integration of our sister companies PIE and APCO.
Ensures that work performed is in compliance with state, local and Federal legal requirements and operates on the job with the highest of ethics. Responsible for following consistent and repeatable processes. Maintains an effective balance between customer satisfaction and internal quality standards
· Coordinate day-to-day production activities to ensure that production targets are met within timelines.
· Develop and maintain production schedules, track progress, and update relevant stakeholders on production milestones.
· Perform material take-offs on a variety of prints and project requirements across all PCT customers.
· Utilize ERP for production data, planning, etc.
· Integrate all production releases into Sigmanest to maximize material usage and gather information needed for procurement, etc.
· Communicate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
· Assist in resolving production issues, including delays, quality concerns, or resource shortages.
o Create, modify, and review technical drawings, schematics, and layouts using AutoCAD software.
o Collaborate with engineers and designers to interpret designs and ensure accuracy in production processes.
o Ensure that all drawings are up to date and adhere to industry standards and project specifications.
o Manage procurement activities for materials and equipment needed for production.
o Source and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
o Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure that all materials are available as needed for production.
o Prepare purchase orders, track shipments, and manage relationships with vendors.
o Work closely with the Quality Control team to ensure products meet specifications and standards.
o Assist in conducting inspections and audits of production materials and finished goods.
o Maintain detailed records of production processes, procurement activities, and design modifications.
o Prepare regular reports on production progress, procurement status, and material usage for management review.
o Work closely with production teams, project managers, and shipping departments to ensure alignment on project timelines and resource needs.
o Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, a related field or equivalent experience in Manufacturing/Construction.
o 2+ years of experience in a production coordination or related role.
o Experience in procurement, sourcing, and supply chain management.
o Strong understanding of production processes and workflows.
o Excellent proficiency in SolidWorks for creating and reviewing technical drawings.
o Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
o Ability to multitask and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
o Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
· Experience in the manufacturing, construction, or engineering industries.
· Knowledge of ERP systems or production management software.
· Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to production and procurement.
· A passion for performing high quality work, with excellence as your standard.
· The ability to think critically, innovate, and solve challenging technical problems.
· Proven experience in manufacturing and/or construction environments.
· Can do, solution-oriented mindset, with historical experience to readily draw upon.
· Effective time management and logical decision-making ability.
· Being able to self-start and self-motivate when there is no one available to provide instruction.
· Capacity to handle pressure with confidence, yet humility.
· Strong work ethic and the ability to handle peak work times.
· Hours – Monday – Friday 6:00AM-3:30PM, or as Project dictates – this is an on-site position and may require some travel depending on the project and changing needs of the company.
