SUMMARY: Perform clerical duties in an office setting at one of the Company’s mining operations. Utilizes a variety of equipment assigned to safely move and haul stone to the appropriate areas within the quarry permitting easy access to the raw materials for processing, heavy equipment may include, but is not limited to: forklift, front end loaders and other pieces of equipment. Equipment Operators must comply with all MSHA required guidelines regarding equipment, employee’s safety and record-keeping.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Ability to answer multiple phone lines, forwarding calls and/or taking messages as appropriate.
•Processes all in- and outbound shipments including but not limited to sorting, logging, delivering, packing, and shipping.
•Prepares shipping and receiving documentation; maintains orderly files for all documentation.
•Assists in maintaining material inventory levels.
•Enters information into accounting data entry system.
•Monitor and document inter-quarry stone hauling as well as outside deliveries.
•Open, sort, and route incoming mail to appropriate person within the Company
•Performs routine inspection and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment and refers defects or repairs to immediate Supervisor.
•Operates trucks of various sizes and weights in the loading, hauling, and unloading of various equipment and materials.
•Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
•Valid Mine Safety Health Administration (MSHA) certification required within 90 days of hire.(Company provided training)
•Certifications for heavy equipment operating preferred
•Ability to adjust to varying work environment (i.e., hot, cold, wet, dusty)
•Ability to operate equipment in a safe and responsible manner
