At Metal Powder Works, we’ve invented an entirely new way to make metal powders and now we’re commercializing it. Our DirectPowder™ technology produces metal powders for use in multiple manufacturing processes like Powder Metallurgy and Additive Manufacturing.
The 1st Shift Production/CNC Operator will contribute to the team by providing production support on 1st shift (6a.m. – 2:30p.m.) by running a CNC lathe-based machine tool to produce powdered metal from bar stock. We are looking for someone with great people skills, self-motivation, attention to detail, act safely, and high ethical standards.
Ideally, you have experience working in and around CNC machine tools and the ability to handle post processing tasks of finished products with minimal supervision. You can keep machines running, do insert changes, enter offsets and perform job changeovers. The position will also include the handling and post processing of metal powders. Experience with handling powder is a bonus but not expected. You will be comfortable running with a fair amount of independence. You can and welcome work with engineering on production of new materials and assisting in machine setups for R&D purposes. You are experienced in a production environment and will help ensure MPW is safe and compliant with industry standards.
