As a part of the Procurement Team, the Procurement Manager role will empower you lead procurement execution across multiple key categories, manage two SAP Key Users, and oversee a business services procurement team. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, analytical reporting capabilities using Microsoft Power BI, and a passion for driving cost savings, operational efficiency, and sustainability across a complex industrial supply chain.

Your Impact in This Role

As a Procurement Manager, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Team Leadership & Business Services Management:

- Lead and manage a regional procurement support team responsible for business services operations (e.g., tactical buyers, data maintenance, PO processing, and vendor communication).

- Provide performance feedback, training, and development opportunities to ensure high team engagement and execution excellence.

- Coordinate workload distribution, service-level expectations, and continuous improvement within the procurement support function.

- Supervise and mentor two SAP Key Users, providing issue resolution, training oversight, and process alignment across regions and functions.

Tactical Procurement & Category Management:

- Manage procurement execution for key spend categories which may include:

- Packaging

- Fixed plant and spare parts

- MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations)

- Mobile equipment and related services

- Mining services (e.g., blasting, haulage)

- Utilities

- Professional services

- Industrial chemicals

- Ensure timely purchasing support for maintenance, production, and capital projects across North America.

- Increase spending visibility, spend under contract, reduce spot buying, and ensure compliance with sourcing strategy and policies.

- Support of initiatives including punch-out catalogs, eSourcing, AI, and others.

- Drive supplier evaluation, qualification, and performance monitoring, focusing on safety, quality, reliability, and ESG compliance.

SAP S/4HANA Process Ownership:

- Serve as the Lead Key User for the SAP S/4HANA Procurement module across North America.

- Lead SAP user training, documentation, troubleshooting, and testing in coordination with Information Systems and global process teams.

- Drive procurement process automation initiatives, including PO approvals, invoice matching, and data accuracy improvements.

Analytics & Reporting:

- Maintain procurement dashboards using Microsoft Power BI to monitor KPIs such as:

- Cost savings (EBITDA impact)

- Cost avoidance

- Contract coverage

- Supplier consolidation

- Automation level

- Present insights and actionable recommendations to regional and global stakeholders.

What You Bring to the Table

- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Engineering, Business or related field; - or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

- 5–8 years of tactical procurement experience, including category management in industrial, manufacturing, mining/minerals, or recycling environments

- 2+ years as a SAP S/4HANA Key User supporting system optimization and integration to enhance business support services. - 2+ years of experience leading procurement teams, driving collaboration with stakeholders at global, regional and local levels

- Demonstrated success in cost savings, supplier performance improvement, and contract compliance

- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Power BI for procurement analytics and dashboards

- Experience supporting multi-site operations across North America
