The procurement coordinator will report directly to the Procurement manager and will play a key role in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of materials and services within the procurement process. Acting as a liaison between the procurement team, vendors, and other stakeholders, this role monitors the progress of purchase orders, identifying potential delays and working with vendors to resolve issues to maintain desired delivery schedules.
Responsibility
•Monitor the status of purchase orders, ensuring they are processed and delivered according to agreed-upon timelines
•Act as the primary point of contact for vendors, seeking updates on order progress, addressing any issues, and negotiating delivery schedules
•Proactively identify and address any potential risks or delays, working with internal teams and vendors to find solutions
•Keep internal stakeholders informed about order progress, potential delays, and any necessary changes.
•Maintain accurate records of all communications, order status, and issue resolution efforts
•Identify areas where the procurement process can be optimized to improve efficiency and reduce delays.
•Collaborate with internal departments and project managers to understand needs and ensure materials are available when needed
•Interface with internal teams to ensure accuracy of deliveries and associated documentation (data packages, invoices, etc.)
•Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to process returned purchased items.
Other Duties
•Act as primary purchasing agent for Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO), heat treatment, nondestructive examination (NDE), procurement
•Track procurement metrics and generate reports on procurement performance
•Perform other related duties
Education/Experience
•High School Diploma or Equivalent.
•Prior experience in maintenance and warehouse setting.
•College degree in supply chain or logistics is preferred
