Description:
We are a growing, mid-sized oilfield services company seeking a resourceful and experienced Procurement Manager to oversee and improve our procurement processes. This is a hands-on role requiring close collaboration with field operations, vendors, and logistics teams to ensure the timely and cost-effective purchase of materials, tools, and equipment. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and familiar with the fast-paced nature of oilfield operations.
•Lead the procurement process from sourcing and negotiation to purchase order execution and delivery tracking.
•Collaborate with field and operations teams to anticipate needs and prioritize critical purchases.
•Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, especially regional and industry-specific vendors.
•Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and service agreements to optimize value and reliability.
•Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
•Ensure all purchases are documented, approved, and properly entered into procurement systems.
•Resolve discrepancies between purchase orders, deliveries, and invoices in coordination with accounting.
•Identify opportunities to streamline procurement workflows and improve cost efficiency.
•Ensure compliance with internal purchasing policies and relevant safety or industry standards.
Requirements:
•3+ years of experience in procurement or purchasing within oilfield services, energy, or a related sector.
•Strong understanding of oilfield equipment, consumables, and vendor networks.
•Skilled in vendor negotiation, cost analysis, and contract management.
•Proficient in Microsoft Excel and purchasing/ERP systems (Procurify/QuickBooks, or similar).
•Excellent communication and organizational skills.
•Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
•Experience supporting field operations in multiple regions.
•Supply chain or procurement certifications (CPSM, CPM) are a plus.
•Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus but not required.
•Knowledge of oilfield safety and compliance requirements.
