GENERAL DESCRIPTION The Procurement Associate (Operations & Maintenance) is responsible for sourcing, analyzing, negotiating and executing vendor contracts for the operations and maintenance of EDPR wind and solar farms in North America. Main accountabilities: • Create, implement, and manage competitive bid processes for all O&M materials and services for EDPR NA operating fleet with total spend exceeding $100M annually. • Contract Management of assigned contracts • Assist Operations Procurement Manager with the development of contracting strategies and processes for tendering Requests for Proposals (RFPs), • Review and level vendor proposals and negotiate contracts that result in the best value possible • Serve as a liaison between the Procurement, Site Operations, Engineering and Asset Management departments • Develop and manage purchasing plans and strategies relating to the operation of the company’s wind and solar farms to drive contracting efficiency and leverage spend volume • Manage relationships and interface with suppliers during the RFP and negotiation processes • Maintain responsibility for technical bid evaluations, commercial, and contractual negotiations, and contract approval prior to contract finalization • Assist with the creation and documentation of a competitive bid process that can be used at all levels of the organization • Assist with the contract award review, analysis, and presentation of award recommendations to management • Assist with the training of personnel in negotiations and contract management • Assist with the development of standardized processes and templates for all contracting efforts • Manage documentation, contracts, budgets, schedules, project controls, project correspondence, project reporting, and Operations and Asset Management interfaces, • Maintain reporting tools including but not limited to Supplier financial performance, historical purchases, O&M market intelligence, and Operations technical satisfaction • Organize and prepare agendas for meetings between suppliers and Procurement personnel • Issue purchase orders as needed • Maintain effective communication with all team members • Participate in the engineering, design, and construction review process • Additional duties as required Direct reports: 0 Travel: 0% - 10% Minimum qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field • 5-7 years of related experience undertaking RFP’s and negotiating contracts for equipment and services, contract management, and procurement preferred; utility scale renewable energy Procurement experience highly desirable • Thorough knowledge of the competitive bid process for operations and services and of negotiation techniques; proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software; familiarity with e-enabled supply chain systems (e.g., SAP) • Competency in Analytical Problem Solving, Strong Communication, Customer/Partner Relationships, and Technology Expertise. (Preferred).
