Perform various highly complex Probabilistic Safety (PSA) tasks requiring specialized skills and broad experience in the area of probabilistic analysis, including plant support for utilization of PARAGON for work control risk management, PSA model ownership/upgrade and maintenance, and other related PSA activities. Serve as an advisor to others, and as a mentor for PSA engineers in training.
Perform various highly complex PSA tasks requiring specialized skills and broad experience in the area of probabilistic analysis, including plant support for utilization of PARAGON for work control risk management, PSA model ownership/upgrade and maintenance, risk-informed evaluations in support of NOED submittals, Tech Spec surveillance extensions, and other related PSA activities.
Provide leadership of small groups to resolve complex issues. Available guidance generally does not normally exist to fit problems encountered and advanced technological skills are required to provide solutions. Serve as an advisor providing advice and counsel on assignments concerned with specialized or unique engineering requirements.
Provide technical direction and leadership routinely to other engineers and operators. Serve as a mentor to PSA Engineers(s) in training. Provide training to others.
Identify potential problems or areas for improvement related to PSA activities and/or operations support, and initiate corrective action in accordance with the plant Condition Report (CR) process.
Participate in industry working groups and other discipline related activities.

- 12 hour work shifts during outages as part of our overall Outage support (24/7) including Outage Command Center and Engineering Outage Center
- Engineering duty cycle support (24/7) including call-out availability during your responsible duty assignment (typically 1 week timeframe with requirements similar to ERO).
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university and eight years of engineering experience, which must include a minimum of two years involving Probabilistic Safety tasks or use of risk management software tools;
OR a PE license obtained by accredited examination with a high school diploma or GED and eight years of engineering experience, which must include a minimum of two years involving Probabilistic Safety tasks or use of risk management software tools.
One diverse assignment is required. A diverse assignment is knowledge and experience in an area not related to your core engineering discipline. Significant new job skills or knowledge will have been acquired and successfully demonstrated. New job skills mean a significant change in tasks performed, not just an amplification of existing skills.
