Primer Operator Afternoon Shift

Kawartha Metals Corp is currently seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Primer Operator. This is a full time position working Monday to Friday from 3pm to 12am. The functional role of the Primer Operator is to process orders with the utmost accuracy and controlled quality.

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Prime material based on sales orders

- Back up Machine Operators with cutting and processing material

- Tag material with S/O and P/O numbers, part numbers and/or destination numbers and customer name

- Ensure equipment is in safe operating condition and their area of responsibility is clear of clutter

- Engage fully in open and regular communication with the person to whom you report to

- Adhere to all policies and procedures of the organization

- Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

- Knowledge of the steel and metal industry an asset.

- 1 -2 years experience using a tape measure.

- 1 - 2 years experience operating a forklift.

- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
