We are seeking a dynamic, sales-driven leader to drive growth, build key industry relationships, and guide the next chapter of operational excellence and market expansion.
The President / General Manager will lead SIDUS Solutions across all strategic, commercial, and operational functions. This individual must bring deep experience in the oceanic technology or optical equipment sectors, and demonstrate strong sales leadership with a track record of business development and key account growth. The ideal candidate will thrive in a hands-on, small business environment and bring both vision and execution capabilities.
Commercial Leadership & Sales Growth:* Personally lead business development efforts with major defense contractors, offshore energy operators, and maritime technology integrators. Identify and pursue new customers and markets for custom subsea camera and positioning systems. Develop a structured sales pipeline and account management process to ensure predictable, repeatable growth. Represent SIDUS at industry conferences, trade shows, and partner events to enhance brand visibility and credibility. Small Business Operational Leadership:* Oversee all daily operations across engineering, production, sales, and administration in a hands-on, visible leadership role. Implement efficient manufacturing processes and workflows to ensure quality, on-time delivery, and cost control. Lead weekly production meetings, align cross-functional teams, and maintain a strong focus on meeting customer delivery deadlines. Understand and manage the unique balance of engineering customization and short-run production typical in SIDUS’s project-based business. Customer-Centric Culture Building:* Foster a culture of responsiveness, quality, and problem-solving across all departments. Instill a service-first mindset in customer engagement—from quoting to post-delivery support. Act as the senior point of contact for major customers to resolve escalations, understand future needs, and deepen relationships. Team Development & Leadership:* Lead, mentor, and retain a team of 25 employees across engineering, operations, and sales. Promote accountability and clarity in roles and responsibilities while cultivating a collaborative, low-ego culture. Recruit and develop talent aligned with SIDUS’s technical, customer service, and growth goals. Strategic Planning & Execution:* Work with ownership to define long-term goals, market positioning, and investment priorities. Develop and execute a multi-year roadmap for product innovation, capability expansion, and margin enhancement. Maintain rigorous attention to KPIs related to profitability, delivery, quality, and customer satisfaction. Financial & Administrative Oversight:* Manage the company’s P&L, drive margin improvement, and ensure consistent EBITDA performance. Review financial performance regularly with stakeholders, highlighting opportunities and risks. Oversee vendor relationships, cost controls, and CapEx investments to support operational efficiency.
