Powerline Technician

Nixon Projects Inc. is looking for Apprentice Powerline Technicians.

Nixon Projects Inc. is an industry leader in powerline, electrical, and civil services

located in Stettler, AB with a secondary locations in Brooks and Coaldale, Alberta.

We are looking for candidates local to Stettler, Brooks and Coaldale areas.

Candidate must possess the following attributes:

- Overhead and underground distribution work experience and/or interest in the powerline technician apprenticeship program

- Operate heavy equipment including ariel booms, diggers, backhoes, and tension stringing equipment in a safe manner

- Strong work ethic with a positive team attitude

- Willing to work weekends

Qualifications we are looking for:

- Minimum clean Class 5 drivers license. 5 year commercial drivers abstract will be required for review prior to employment (current- within 2 weeks)

- Class 1 or 3 license would be considered an asset

- Fortis Experience would be considered an asset

- Valid and up to date safety tickets TDG, WHMIS, CSTS-20, Ground Disturbance, and H2S Alive would be considered an asset

Work Schedules:

Monday to Friday and/or

10 days on, 4 days off

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Seasonal, Apprenticeship

Pay: $24.00-$59.64 per hour
