Plasma Cutting Burn Table Operator

FABCO is a full-service steel fabricator looking for a Plasma Cutting Burn Table Operator to join our growing team in Woodburn, Oregon. Our state-of-the-art facility, combined with our highly skilled team and technological capabilities, allows us to perform a wide range of projects.

We are seeking a skilled Plasma Cutting Burn Table Operator to join our team. This role is responsible for operating CNC plasma equipment to cut steel plate and sheet metal according to precise specifications. The operator will ensure accuracy, efficiency, and quality while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Responsibilities:

- Program and operate CNC plasma burn table equipment to cut steel plate, sheet, and other metals to specified dimensions.

- Review plans, shop drawings, and work orders to verify part specifications.

- Load and unload materials onto the burn table using cranes, forklifts, or other lifting devices.

- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on plasma cutting equipment and related tools.

- Inspect finished parts for dimensional accuracy, edge quality, and overall conformance.

- Optimize material usage by nesting parts efficiently and minimizing waste.Troubleshoot cutting issues and adjust machine settings for precision and productivity.

- Maintain accurate records of production runs, scrap, and material usage.Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines

- Follow all safety policies and procedures, ensuring a clean and hazard-free work area.

Qualifications:

- 3+ years experience

- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, shop drawings, and cut lists.

- Proficient in operating material-handling equipment.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precise measurements.

- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods

- Basic mechanical troubleshooting and machine maintenance skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced shop environment

- Exposure to noise, heat, dust, sparks, and heavy machinery in the shop
