Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Plant Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our facility.
Our newly constructed building offers exceptional working conditions thanks to modern insulation and outstanding cleanliness. The workshop is equipped with slitting lines and blanking lines where stainless coils are processed to meet our customer unique demands.
We currently operate with 15 experienced operators from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday. During periods of increased activity, we may extend daytime hours and work Saturdays to meet customer demands.
Our primary mission is to ensure strict compliance with safety rules at all times during operations. Coordinate production activities, guarantee high product quality and equipment reliability, and drive continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining a high level of5S_ standards_.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
HEALTH & SAFETY:
•Enforce and ensure the use of PPE and respect of safety procedures.
•Conduct regular shop floor audits.
•Organize and deliver safety training for all employees, both new hires and existing staff.
•Monitor subcontractor compliance with all safety policies.
PRODUCTION & CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT:
•Maintain operator schedules aligned with the production plan.
•Oversee all production floor operations.
•Lead, motivate, and supervise the production team daily.
•Provide regular coaching, feedback, and support to promote development and accountability.
•Build strong relationships to enhance teamwork, retention, and overall performance.
•Train new hires and support internal job transitions.
•Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, leading and participating in projects under the WCM management system.
•Maintain and improve plant cleanliness, organization, and discipline in line with 5S standards.
•Quickly identify and resolve technical or organizational issues, implementing sustainable solutions.
•Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and establish corrective action plans when targets are not met.
MAINTENANCE:
•Participate in planning preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
•Possess solid maintenance knowledge to support the team in troubleshooting equipment issues.
•Collaborate closely with the maintenance department to optimize equipment availability.

YOUR SKILL AND QUALIFICATIONS:
•Strong knowledge of production equipment and operations.
•Knowledge of the automotive business and its specific quality, delivery, and performance requirements.
•Solid understanding of continuous improvement processes and WCM management systems.
•Proven ability to implement and sustain 5S standards.
•Excellent communication and organizational skills.
•Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet objectives.
•Strong problem-solving skills for technical, safety, and organizational issues.
•Proficiency with G-Suite applications (Gmail, Gdrive)
•Initiative, reliability, professionalism, and leadership.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
•High school diploma or GED required; skilled trade, associate’s or bachelor’s degree in industrial technology, manufacturing, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
•Minimum of 5 years of experience in stainless steel or a similar role or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Industrial maintenance knowledge is a strong asset.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
•Willingness to be on call and work outside regular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required to meet operational needs.
•Proven experience in a manufacturing or production supervisory role, preferably in the steel industry environment.
•Strong understanding of production workflows, safety protocols, and quality standards.
•Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and motivate teams in a fast-paced setting.
•Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills with a hands-on approach.
•Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or WCM.
•Proficient in using production software, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
•Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to prioritize and multitask.
•Effective verbal and written communication skills.
•Ability to stand, walk bend, twist and perform physical tasks on the production floor for extended periods.
•Must be eligible to work in the USA, visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
