We have an immediate opening for a Plant Manager at our E 78th St. facility in Cleveland, OH.
Position Summary:
The Plant Manager is responsible for managing, directing, and coordinating plant operations. This position will report directly to the VP of Operations.
A successful candidate for the Plant Manager position will be an influential leader who possesses strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills. This individual will also demonstrate a strong management track record in heavy manufacturing, a high level of business acumen, and possess excellent continuous process improvement skills.
Periodic travel to our local and regional facilities is required.
Primary Responsibilities (not all inclusive):
•Ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
•Ensure the Annual Operating Plan is achieved.
•Manage to achieve or exceed all plant KPIs.
•Work with the Team to identify cost reduction opportunities and ensure effective implementation.
•Delegate appropriate authority and responsibilities to plant staff (i.e., managers, supervisors, support staff) to meet plant objectives.
•Set and communicate goals to assure all safety, quality, productivity, and service objectives are met.
•Ensure adherence to process control procedures, operating instructions, and all quality control instructions to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction and standard of products is maintained.
•Manage associate performance and hold accountability for that performance.
•Manage daily and weekly product reporting on all metrics
•Make presentations and communicate with all levels of the organization as necessary pertaining to plant manufacturing activities.
•Maintain a presence on the shop floor and working relationship with all employees that supports a positive work culture and high engagement while ensuring staffing, skills and training support business objectives.
•Works closely with Quality, Sales and Engineering departments to assist in resolving customer issues and technical problems pertaining to product quality, delivery and other technical concerns.
•Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and corporate colleagues at all levels.

Requirements:
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in related field (i.e. Engineering, Material Science, Business)
•Minimum of 5 years of management/leadership experience in a manufacturing environment; previous plant management experience in the forging industry is strongly preferred.
•Ability to interpret and analyze statistical data (SPC)
•Previous experience managing within ISO 9000-2000 quality systems
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Excellent computer skills to run multiple software applications, such as MS Office, and MRP systems (Syteline experience is a plus).
•Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
•Self-motivated with high attention to detail
•Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
