Canadian Natural has an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated professional to join us as a Plant Assistant Foreman in the Progress/Gordondale area. You’ll safely lead a 20-person plant &field team, drive production performance in the field and reliability improvements of a large gas plant; support major multiyear area development, and help meet regulatory and safety requirements – all while making a meaningful impact. Key Accountabilities:
•Provide leadership and supervision to field staff by on-site work planning and day-to-day direction while managing staff performance, spend >60% of time in the Plant
•Maximize safe well production and facility throughput by working closely with Production Foreman, Maintenance Foreman, SCC Coordinator, Technical and Administration Teams to maintain runtime performance of > 97% from wellhead to sales
•Provide leadership, knowledge and direction to Plant staff towards Canadian Natural's Safety Management Systems
•Participate in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual operating budgets while maintaining cost control for your area
•Maintain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
What You Bring to the Role:
•10+ years of field experience in an operational, maintenance or technical role
•Gas Plant Operating Certificate and 3rd Class Power Engineering (Required)
•Working knowledge of safety standards, environmental regulations
•Proven team leadership experience in a supervisory or mentorship capacity with strong communication skills
•Proven project management skills in planning, preparations and execution
•Knowledge of fundamentals of Oil and Gas economics
•Engineering Degree, Technology Diploma or Journeyman certification (Preferred)
•Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification (Preferred)
