The Salem Harbor Station, also known as SHS, is a high-efficiency power generation facility fueled by natural gas. It boasts a capacity of 674 megawatts (MW). This facility is structured as two separate 1x1 combined cycle units, with each unit comprising a "7FA.05" combustion turbine generator, a heat recovery steam generator (HRSG), and a steam turbine generator. This configuration optimizes the utilization of energy from the combustion of natural gas, making Salem Harbor Station an efficient and reliable source of electricity.
The Plant Administrator is responsible for the administrative functions of the plant including clerical support, accounting, accounts payable, human resources, and Fit for Duty.
The Plant Administrator reports to the Plant Manager and coordinates closely with all other plant staff.
Initial starting compensation will range from $30.19 to $42.36 per hour.
Normal working hours are 7:00a.m. to 3:30p.m. Monday through Friday. Extended hours may be required based on specific requirements. Ground and air travel is occasionally required of this position to attend training and conferences. Ability to travel up to 5-10% is required.
Work is performed in the administrative building of a power plant. Occasional work may be required in the plant which requires protective clothing and equipment. Work can occur around industrial hazards and in areas of high noise levels. Ability to see, hear, read, and react to warning signs, lights, and alarms are essential.
All employees will participate in the Fitness for Duty Program. This program includes a post-offer physical examination and drug screening and post-employment random drug screening. There are extensive smoking restrictions in and around the facility.
The regular work schedule follows a Monday through Friday workweek during standard day shift hours. This position will also occasionally necessitate extended working hours and flexible shifts as needed, including weekends and holidays, in response to schedules, workload demands, and plant conditions. Periodic callouts or “On call” status may also be required.
