Trans Mountain Corporation operates Canada’s only pipeline system transporting oil products to the West Coast. We deliver approximately 890,000 barrels of petroleum products each day through a dual pipeline system of more than 1,150 kilometres of pipeline in Alberta, British Columbia and Washington state.

Trans Mountain also operates a state-of-the-art loading facility, Westridge Marine Terminal, with three berths providing tidewater access to global markets.

As a

Pipeline Maintenance & Protection, Summer Student

with Trans Mountain, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting pipeline integrity, maintenance, and damage prevention initiatives. You will learn about the Trans Mountain Pipeline system, the importance of damage prevention for environmental and public safety, and tools and processes used in pipeline maintenance and protection.

This position will be based in Clearwater, BC.

Duration: May 4, 2026 to August 21, 2026. Key Responsibilities:

- Assist with administrative tasks including filing and document management using SharePoint.

- Support finance-related activities such as coding, accruals, and reconciliations.

- Help create, review, and submit field reports related to pipeline protection.

- Assist with scheduling aerial patrols and updating on-call schedules.

- Support the team during peak seasonal work by processing Unauthorized Activity Reports and Field Report entries.

- Reconcile One Call reports, audits, and helicopter patrol reports.

- Maintain training records and assist with compliance documentation.

- Assist with tracking and updating maintenance work orders and schedules.

- Support coordination of seasonal maintenance activities, including inspections and minor repairs.

- Help compile data for maintenance progress reports and budget tracking.

- Participate in safety checks and ensure compliance with maintenance standards.

- Provide logistical support for maintenance crews and contractors during field activities.


Qualifications And Professional Experience

- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program and returning to full-time studies in the fall.

- Interest or coursework in technology, trades, engineering, or administration.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and familiarity with SharePoint.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.


Other Requirements And Information

- Must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license.

- Must be enrolled in an accredited post-secondary institution and return to full time studies in the fall.

- This role is full-time in office and requires on-site attendance for the duration of the summer term.

- Ability to work from Clearwater, BC and other site locations as required.

The expected pay range for this position is

$24.61

to

$33.48 CAD. Application
