Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Pipeline Inspection and Repair Technician to ensure the integrity and safety of various pipeline systems. This role involves performing detailed inspections, diagnosing issues, and executing repairs on pipelines using a variety of methods. The ideal candidates will have strong work ethic, dependable and the ability to learn to operate specialized equipment in demanding environments. This position offers an opportunity to work on critical infrastructure projects with a focus on safety, precision, and operational excellence.
- Conduct thorough inspections of pipelines utilizing robotic crawlers to detect leaks, corrosion, or structural weaknesses.
- Perform repairs on pipelines, including coatings, liners and other methods.
- Perform routine maintenance on inspection and repair equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Document inspection findings.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and environmental regulations during all inspection and repair activities.
- Prior experience working in construction environments is highly preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair, heavy lifting, and heavy equipment operation is essential.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and data analysis are required.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting and working in challenging outdoor conditions.
- Understanding of safety standards relevant to confined space work. This position is integral to maintaining the safety and efficiency of pipeline infrastructure within the public and private sector.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read and interpret mapping.
- Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid drivers license with clean driving record
- Transportation to work.
- Willingness to travel. Most work happens in the State of Michigan but possible overnight stays for the week depending on workload and location if the work.
- Basic computer skills to fill out logs in Excel and use email.
