Pay: $60,000 – $65,000 per year
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Permitting Coordinator to support our solar project permitting process. This position plays a critical role in keeping projects on track by coordinating permits, approvals, and documentation from start to finish. You’ll work closely with Project Managers and other team members to ensure all aspects of the permitting lifecycle are completed on time, within scope, and in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Submit and manage permit applications with various jurisdictions
- Track and monitor the permitting process to ensure timely approvals
- Support Project Managers with planning and executing project-specific permitting tasks
- Coordinate and maintain team goals, project timelines, and permit documentation
- Participate in project meetings related to design, scheduling, status updates, and budgeting
- Manage utility approvals, incentive applications, and project closeout documentation
- Maintain organized digital and physical records for all assigned projects
- Schedule material and equipment deliveries as needed
- Prepare and review project-related communication including proposals, meeting notes, and correspondence
- Liaise with clients to define project scope, permitting requirements, and timelines
- Perform additional administrative or coordination duties as required- 4+ years of experience in construction, permitting, or a related field or a 4-year degree in a related discipline
- Proficiency in handling project documentation such as RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, and invoices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Solid problem-solving, analytical, and time-management abilities
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines
- Familiarity with the commercial solar industry is a strong plus
