About the Role
We're seeking a Performance Marketing Manager who will lead the strategy, execution and reporting for customer acquisition campaigns. This role will focus on driving growth through new customer acquisition across all utility markets. You will develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for paid digital channels to drive user acquisition and revenue growth. This includes scaling performance marketing programs across platforms, optimizing spend efficiency, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to align acquisition with long-term business objectives.
You'll be responsible for daily performance analytics and insights to help us increase our overall customer count. This is a high-impact, data-heavy role that will sit at the intersection of marketing, data analytics, and customer acquisition strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
•Develop and own the performance marketing strategy for customer acquisition across all utility markets
•Manage and optimize paid search, display, paid social, and other digital marketing campaigns
•Partner with vendors (paid media, website, etc.) and pricing team to align tactical execution with acquisition goals
•Design and iterate multi-touch acquisition funnels tailored to different customer segments per market
•Stay current on digital marketing trends, tools, and technologies in the energy sector
Analytics & Reporting
•Own day-to-day performance tracking and reporting of acquisition campaigns
•Monitor campaign performance across multiple states and utility areas, making data-driven adjustments to maximize ROI
•Collaborate with Customer Experience team to gather call center metrics to identify gaps in enrollment
•Build executive dashboards and regular performance metrics across channels and acquisition funnels
•Analyze customer acquisition patterns and conversion rates to uncover growth opportunities
•Provide data-backed insights to marketing and product teams to optimize messaging, offers, and experiences
•Prepare and present performance reports to leadership, highlighting KPIs, trends, and opportunities
Customer Acquisition Optimization
•Segment audiences based on demographics, behavior, and market characteristics to optimize targeting
•Conduct regular competitor analysis to identify market opportunities and optimize positioning
•Identify and prioritize high-leverage areas for A/B testing and campaign improvements across the acquisition funnel
•Continuously test, optimize, and report on learnings that drive better acquisition performance
Collaboration & Execution
•Collaborate with internal teams to ensure marketing strategies align with sales goals, regulatory requirements, and customer needs
•Work cross-functionally with data, creative, digital, operations, customer experience and pricing teams to execute strategy and deliver measurable results
•Support budgeting and forecasting efforts with ROI models and performance projections
•Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders at all levels
