PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is responsible for providing industry-leading business operations support, market intelligence, and growth initiatives to our existing retail Customer Operators. Furthermore, this position shall also develop new retail Customer Operators, which may be developed through industry networking or in response to inquiries from the potential Customers. The position will require significant Customer engagement by meeting with Customers and conducting facility and business reviews.
In addition, this position shall be responsible for maintaining the comprehensive Hawaii-based retail fuel market research and expanding upon Aloha Petroleum’s industry-leading programs and initiatives that are designed to best support our Customers and their business growth.
Finally, this position will maintain a key responsibility of ensuring that Aloha remains on the forefront for customer centricity with an innate business partnership approach in working for our Customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / FUNCTIONS:
•Maintains a detailed understanding of Hawaii’s retail energy markets.
•Implements strategic sales growth plans based on their comprehensive market analyses.
•Fosters and develops business relationships with existing and prospective customers.
•Studies the competition to ensure Aloha is best prepared to lead the retail fuel market. This analysis shall include all product markets, Aloha’s market share, and other business intelligence.
•Achieves quarterly and annual sales goals.
•Develops effective marketing initiatives to support existing operations. Closely collaborates with Sunoco Marketing and local marketing companies to leverage their marketing insight and services.
•Maintains a high standard of customer centricity to reinforce our commitment to our Customers. This shall be demonstrated by timely response to inquiries/requests, frequent and quality facility visits with Customers, and consistently striving for business improvement/growth.
Daily Duties:
•Works with other staff members to ensure high quality and timely service and product delivery to customers.
•Meets with vendors, business partners, and others to develop and implement joint promotional projects.
•Studies trade journals, sales journals, and other similar material to foster on-going professional development and to stay informed on current industry events and trends.
•Prepares written correspondence, recommendations, reports, and presentations for internal customers, business partners, and others.
•Prepares written proposals for internal approval.
Periodic Duties:
•Prepares monthly report covering all areas of responsibility, and other reports as required.
•Entertains customers, prospective customers, business partners and others at restaurants, sporting events, cultural and other events.
•Prepares written marketing plans for specific market segments and, on an annual basis, for the company.
•Prepares and conducts presentations to internal or external audiences.
•Participates in meetings, trade shows, seminars, fundraisers and conventions as needed or assigned.
•Performs other duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
•Works under regular office conditions.
•Operates a car extensively to meet and service customers and prospects.
•Occasional inter-island air travel, or travel to U.S. Mainland
•Requires attention to detail, concentration, and alertness in performing oral and written communications.
•Requires advanced analytical business and financial skills to analyze financial data and to compose reports and proposals.
•Requires mathematical skills to gather and analyze numerical data and to compose various reports and proposals.
•Visiting and working at customer business locations and other outside the office sites are necessary to conduct business.
•Frequent sitting and keyboarding.
•Visiting and working at sites other than the office necessary to conduct business.

Education/Training:
•Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college, with an emphasis in a business related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
•Valid driver’s license and clean traffic abstract required.
Experience:
•8+ years sales management experience required.
