Design Electric is seeking a Payroll Specialist for our St Cloud, MN location. It is the role of the Payroll Specialist to manage employee compensation and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
o Knowledge of Prevailing Wage & Certified Payroll
o Identify and log step tiers for Apprentices
o Identify and create certified payroll reporting in compliance with the Davis-Bacon Act
o Must be able to use an array of platforms for submitting payroll reports as well as the WH-347 form used by the U.S. Department of Labor
o Setting up Prevailing Wage jobs in computer software for payroll processing
o Tracking and logging projects to ensure accuracy and compliance
o Must possess extreme attention to detail and the ability to problem solve
o Must be able to work independently in a time-sensitive environment
o Confidentiality and respect for the privacy of employee records
o Familiarity with the Minnesota Apprenticeship Program and its requirements
o Understanding of certified payroll procedures, including compliance and reporting standards
This full-time, in-person position is paid hourly. The conventional 40-hour workweek is structured as five eight-hour workdays, typically between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
Starting hourly rate is $32.00+ depending on experience.
