Position: Payroll / Benefit Administrator
Location: Pittsburgh, PAHours: Monday-FridayPay: $70,000 - $90,000 annuallyBenefits: Full (Health, Dental, Vision, PTO, 401K, ESOP)
Position Description
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Payroll / Benefit Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing in-house payroll processing using an on-site system (e.g., Navision, Foundation, Sage). This role is critical in ensuring accurate payroll execution, benefits administration, and compliance with all applicable regulations.
Essential Job Functions
•Manage weekly, full-cycle payroll processing for all employees.
•Maintain personnel records, benefit elections, and deduction information while ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
•Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
•Calculate and process payroll deductions, including taxes, garnishments, and child support, and ensure timely payments.
•Handle payroll discrepancies promptly and accurately.
•File quarterly and annual payroll tax returns, including Forms 941, 940, W-2, and 1095.
•Administer benefits and support the new hire and termination processes.
•Maintain prevailing wage and certified payroll reports, including WH-347, LLC-25, OCIP, and CCIP tracking.
•Utilize or learn systems like LCP Tracker and file yearly FHWA-1391 reports.
•Maintain a strong understanding of payroll regulations, wage compliance, and benefits administration.
•Must be a PA Notary or willing to become one
Qualifications
•Proven experience with in-house payroll systems (e.g., Navision, Foundation, Sage).
•Strong knowledge of payroll principles, regulations, and compliance requirements.
•Familiarity with prevailing wage regulations and certified payroll reporting.
•High degree of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
•Ability to meet strict deadlines and handle confidential information with discretion.
•Experience with LCP Tracker and benefits administration is a plus.
•PA Notary certification or willingness to obtain certification is required.
Education and Experience
•Degree from a 4-year college or university preferred
•5+ years of experience in management accounting, financial reporting, and income tax filing
•Certified Public Accountant (CPA) a plus
•In-house payroll processing experience
•Previous Accounting experience in a construction or trades industry highly preferred
