Schedule: 3 to 5 days per week (25 hours) flexible
Hours Scope: anytime between 6:30 am – 5pm
Palmer Gas and Oil is seeking a reliable and tech-savvy individual to provide part-time IT support for our staff. This role involves daily troubleshooting hardware and software issues, assisting users with basic IT needs, and supporting the day-to-day operations of our backend IT infrastructure and physical equipment around the office including but not limited to (access points, cameras, onsite troubleshooting). Ideal for students, entry-level IT professionals, or those seeking flexible tech work.
· Provide first-level support for hardware, software, and network issues
· Assist users with password resets, software installs, and basic troubleshooting
· Set up new user accounts, workstations, and peripheral devices
· Maintain inventory of IT equipment and software licenses
· Escalate unresolved issues to senior IT staff as needed
· Document support requests, solutions, and common issues
· Assist with system updates, backups, and routine maintenance
· Support audio/visual setups for meetings (ex. Projectors, PA speakers, technical vendor support)
· Basic knowledge of Windows/macOS, Microsoft Office, and common IT tools
· Understanding of computer hardware, networking basics, and troubleshooting steps
· Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
· High school diploma or equivalent; some college or IT coursework preferred
· Reliable transportation to travel to our other office locations
- Maintains programs and works with all software vendors to troubleshoot problems, maintains call logs, supports interfaced systems including but not limited to Blue Cow Software’s Ignite/Ignite Mobile, Mobile devices, phone services, security cameras, access control systems, customer web portal, etc.
- Learns the Palmer’s primary software system (Blue Cow-Ignite) and works closely with Palmer’s IT Supervisor to provide support for company departments and mobile devices.
