Job Title: Painting Estimator & Project Manager
Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Painting Estimator & Project Manager to lead the full project lifecycle of commercial and residential painting jobs — from accurate estimating through successful project completion. This unified role requires a strong background in construction management, job costing, and field coordination. The ideal candidate will manage all aspects of painting projects, including estimating, planning, execution, and job site oversight, ensuring quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
•Develop detailed and accurate estimates for painting projects based on plans, specifications, and site assessments.
•Manage all phases of assigned painting projects, including scheduling, staffing, material procurement, and on-site supervision.
•Use estimating and project management tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid to streamline proposals and job tracking.
•Coordinate and oversee field crews, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to quality standards.
•Monitor budgets and job progress to maintain profitability and resolve issues as they arise.
•Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to support project success.
•Review and negotiate subcontractor and vendor quotes to secure competitive pricing.
•Conduct site visits to assess work quality, progress, and compliance with project specifications.
•Provide support and guidance to junior team members to promote growth and collaboration.
•Stay up to date with painting industry standards, materials, and best practices.
Qualifications & Skills
•Proven experience in painting estimation and on-site project management.
•Proficient in Bluebeam, HeavyBid, or similar estimating/project tools.
•Strong leadership and team coordination abilities, especially in field environments.
•Excellent time management, budgeting, and organizational skills.
•Knowledge of painting systems, materials, and job site safety standards.
•Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
•Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously across various job sites.
