Painter / Welder / Parts Fabricator

About Us:

We are an independently-owned Powerlift franchise located in Tipton, IA that fabricates and installs Powerlift Hydraulic Doors. We specialize in fabricating and installing Powerlift Doors to new and existing buildings/facilities. The doors are fabricated by cutting steel to size, welding the steel together following a blueprint, painting the door, and then transporting the door to the job site for installation.

We have a small crew and are looking to add one member to the team.

The position being hired for is a Painter / Welder / Parts Fabricator. This position has multiple responsibilities and is great for someone that likes to not have the exact same workload each day. This position will primarily be responsible for painting, but they will also go on installations to help put in doors as well as assist others in the shop as needed. Installation and shop duties will require some welding.

Job Duties:

- Cutting and preparing custom steel pieces for painting by following a blueprint.

- Prep and paint door or pieces.

- Cleaning and maintenance of work area including paint guns, paint booth and tools.

- Light assembly work.

- Willingness to assist others in the shop when necessary.

- Some welding (MIG)

- Some travel for installations

- Adherence to all health and safety protocols.

Requirements:

- Must have experience in industrial/commercial painting environment.

- Ability to read blueprints.

- Ability to handle daily physical labor associated with painting and moving equipment.

- Must have some experience and comfortability MIG welding.

- Driver's License.

- Experience with forklift and other machinery a plus but not required.

This role could be filled by a motivated individual with entry level experience that is willing to learn and be trained. Alternatively, an individual with extensive experience would be extremely valuable and therefore highly considered.

Pay & Benefits:

- Pay is commensurate to experience and expertise and is considered on an individual basis.

- Full time position ~ 40 hours weekly with some possibilities for overtime if desired.

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
