Job Title: Experienced Job Shop Welder (TIG & MIG)

Location: Topeka, KS. Company: North Topeka Fabrication Job Type: Full-Time Shift: Day’s, 10 Hour Shift, Mon.-Thurs. 6:30am to 5:00pm Pay: $18.00-$26.00 an hour – Based on experience

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in TIG and MIG welding of aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon steel in a custom fabrication environment. This position requires versatility, precision, and the ability to work independently on a variety of projects with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

- Perform TIG and MIG welding on aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon steel components.

- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and welding symbols.

- Fabricate and assemble metal components with tight tolerances.

- Inspect welds and ensure compliance with quality standards.

- Maintain a clean and organized work area.

- Operate various fabrication equipment including grinders, saws, brakes, and shears.

- Work collaboratively with team members and support production goals.

Requirements:

- 3+ years of welding experience in a job shop or custom fabrication environment.

- Strong proficiency with TIG and MIG welding processes.

- Experience working with aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon steel.

- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and welding symbols.

- Skilled in using hand tools, fabrication equipment, and measuring instruments.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

- Ability to lift 100 lbs. and stand for extended periods.

- Welding certifications are a plus, but not required.
