The position is directly responsible for the preparation, staging, coating, pulling and continuous improvements of all coated parts and assemblies manufactured at the company.
This role requires strict adherence to safety protocols & quality standards. This role is responsible for adhering to and participating in continuous improvements in the organization.
The Paint Technician represents High Country Industrial Corp. professionally, while providing excellent service to customers as well as maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
High Country Industrial Corp is offering a starting competitive hourly wage of $22.00 - $26.00 depending on experience.

- 1+ year of proven painting & sandblasting experience
- Knowledge of reading blueprints, drawings, specifications, and other prints
- Basic math knowledge, problem solving
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Direct production experience with role function examples
- Lean practice or exposure of concepts
The position will be responsible for the following to help HCI operate smoothly. These responsibilities may change from time to time as required by changing business conditions, company management structure, or other reasons that management deems appropriate.
- Consistent punctuality, minimal absenteeism and dependability in completing assignments.
- Maintain professional and cooperative working relationships with Management and other staff members.
- Maintaining company tools, equipment, and vehicles.
Accountable pull work orders and prepare all parts/assemblies, materials, equipment and workstation prior to the coating process.
Coating and Inspection- 60%
Accountable to follow work instructions to coat and inspect full and sub-assemblies.
Work Cell Organization- 10%
Accountable to maintain the “5 S” Methodology (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) in the shipping and assembly areas.
Collaboration- 10%
Accountable to collaborate and partner with welders, material handlers, electrical and other assembly / shipping / receiving technicians.
Accountable to drive continuous improvement efforts in regard to workflow and work cell organization.
This job is considered medium to heavy work in nature with occasional heavy tasks. Maximum lifting of up to 100 pounds with frequent lifting of weights up to 50 pounds. Typically standing and walking for 6 hours out of an 8-hour day. The frequency of the tasks depends on the type of shift, weather conditions and changes to the indoor environment (which cannot always be predicted or controlled).
