Overhead Crane Operator (140-ton) in Steel Manufacturing

AltaSteel is seeking a skilled operator for our cab‑operated 140‑ton overhead crane to support our steel manufacturing operations. This role is critical to safely moving molten metal, heavy loads, and essential materials throughout the facility. We’re looking for a dependable operator with strong situational awareness, a commitment to safety, and experience in high‑demand industrial settings.

Qualifications & Skills

- Proven experience in large cab-operated overhead cranes

- Experience in steel or heavy industrial environments

- Strong rigging and signaling ability

- Ability to judge load weight and balance

- Clear radio and verbal communication

- Good hand–eye coordination

- Strong situational awareness

- Basic mechanical understanding

- Ability to work at heights and in heat, noise, and fast‑paced environments

- Consistent attention to safety procedures

- Positive attitude

- High School Diploma or equivalent
