Job Summary
The OT Infrastructure Specialist Collaborates with the organizations Operations Technology (OT) teams to develop and support infrastructure solutions; maintains close working relationships with vendors to ensure compliance with the organization’s hardware or communications standards and monitor costs closely; and continuously analyzes the organization’s current OT processes, technology, and vendors to identify areas of improvement.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with the organization’s OT teams to develop and support infrastructure solutions
Maintain close working relationship with vendors to ensure compliance with organization’s hardware or communications standards and monitor costs closely
Instill enterprise best practice standards within the organization’s OT teams
Analyze OT solutions and make recommendations that support the organization’s technology strategy
Cultivate a team culture that delivers optimum service to technology end-users
Continuously analyze current OT processes, technology, and vendors to identify areas of improvement
Leverage technology to support both current and future infrastructure needs
Maintain compliance with OT polices and build OT operating procedures
Research and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, and software
Ensure network components meet the organization’s needs
Stay current regarding new OT features and other competitive solutions
Manage cyber security within the business by implementing technology, monitoring, and training.
Manage the organization’s operating environment using Microsoft based tools and systems
Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies by attending all required HSE training sessions, safety meetings, and always utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Other duties as assigned Minimum 3 years’ of relevant experience, preferred
Experience managing mid to large IT related projects, preferred
Experience in oil and gas service industry, preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to effectively interact with vendors, customers, and personnel at all levels of the organization
Personable with strong customer and client service orientation, able to form strong professional relationships with vendors and end users
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; able to analyze, interpret, and apply relevant data to defined objectives
Strong problem solving skills, able to effectively diagnose issues and define successful solutions
Highly collaborative, able to successfully work with a team to reach a common objective
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications and Azure
