Job Details

Hourly Non-Exempt Position

- Examines equipment parts to detect imperfections.

- Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.

- Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.

- Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments, using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.

- Installs special functional and structural parts in devices, using hand tools.

- Starts devices to test their performance.

- Initiate purchase order for parts and machines.

- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment.

- Must comply with the work order system to include interpreting work orders, performing work requested, and completing work orders per instruction.

- Will have to identify items and parts to be ordered.

- Operate forklift and related equipment.

- Perform any job assigned by the supervisor.

Education Requirements

- High School Diploma or GED

- At least 5 years of related experience and/or training

- Ability to read, write, and interpret documents.

- Basic algebra and geometry

Working Conditions

- The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, handle, and reach with hands and arms.

- Frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

- Vision abilities required such as: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
