The Operations Supervisor is a key member of the operations team, with a primary focus on managing the fleet’s day-to-day repair needs and scheduling all standard services across two branches in the Chicagoland area. This position ensures that preventative maintenance, compliance inspections, and repairs are proactively scheduled and completed to maximize fleet uptime and operational efficiency. In addition, the Operations Supervisor will oversee operator safety, support customer service efforts, and assist in the onboarding and training of new operators.
The salary for this position will be commensurate with education or work experience starting at $70,000.

What You'll Be Doing:•Manage the daily maintenance needs and schedule standard services (PMs, DOT inspections, repairs) for a fleet of 50+ trucks.
•Troubleshoot maintenance issues with operators in the field and coordinate with vendors or in-house maintenance resources for resolution.
•Ensure full execution of the fleet management program, including maintenance record-keeping and service compliance.
•Assist with dispatching units and scheduling projects based on fleet availability and customer needs.
•Communicate daily with clients, maintaining a strong focus on customer service and satisfaction.
•Support project-related bidding and proposals, providing accurate input on fleet capacity and availability.
•Review operators’ daily paperwork (Daily Trip Tickets, FLRAs, DOT Logs) to ensure compliance and completeness.
•Train and develop operators on truck maintenance practices and safe operation.
•Assist in operator onboarding and ongoing development, particularly around equipment care and troubleshooting.
What You'll Need For Success:•Must have supervisory experience
•Previous experience required in one of the following areas: Vacuum, Pump Trucks Commercial Underground Construction, Oil and Gas, Underground Utility, Waste, Equipment Rental, Trucking / Fleet Management
Valid CDL (preferred)*
Sales experience (preferred)*
Physical Demand Requirements:
•Must be able to hear and distinguish emergency signals and instructions while on duty
•Must be able to repetitively sit, lift, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, reach and crawl
•Must be able to repeatedly lift a minimum of 50 pounds
•Must be able to work in all outdoor elements for extended periods of time
•Confined Space Entry may be required to accomplish tasks for some clients when applicable
•Must be cleared to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
•Must be able to climb ladders, and work from stationary platforms from elevated heights
•Must be capable of working extended hours and variable shifts
