Position Summary
The Operations Manager oversees the daily operations of Prairie Field Services’ Roosevelt, UT division. The position directs a broad array of activities specific to both the field and office to include managing the dispatch department, back office, repair and maintenance and field supervision. The position reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Responsibilities
•Directs and manages field service team to ensure company and customer expectations are met
•Ensures a solid understanding of Prairie Field Services operational policies and systems, information management processes and relationships with third-party vendors
•Builds and maintains strong working relationships with customer contacts in the field to promote sustainable partnerships
•Drives and measures customer satisfaction as it relates to field service deliverables
•Ensures compliance with all policies and procedures related to work performed for Prairie Field Services
•Evaluates practices, procedures, and facilities to assess risk and adherence to industry and legal rules and regulations
•Responsible for site surveys and journey management plan
•Responds to incidents and assist in the incident investigation process including collection of data and report preparation
•Reports on health and safety awareness issues and statistics as needed
•Responsible for the dissemination of information to peers and direct reports and field level
•Promotes proactive internal and external communications
•Assist COO with customer bid requests and short and long term strategic goals
•Responsible for staffing and equipment needs and scheduling
•Work effectively and cross-collaboratively with other leadership members to accomplish goals set forth by the executive team
•Spend consistent time in the field supporting team members
•Develop proactive solutions to issues and maintain a consistent, strategic vision
•Leads the division in adherence to the company’s mission, vision and values
•Performs all other essential duties as assigned
Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent experience preferred
•5+ years of oilfield service experience preferred
•Proficient in MS Windows and MS Office
•Exceptional ability to network, develop, establish, and manage internal and external business relationships
•Working knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, and OHSE legislation
•Ability to interface directly with cross-functional teams and build and maintain lasting relationships with other departments and key business partners
•Strong root cause analysis skills
•Highly effective organizational, negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills
•Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate at all levels within a company
•Strong focus on quality, safety, and environment
•Flexibility and adaptability to change
•Desire to uphold a high morale standard and protect the company’s best interest
•Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours
•Ability to travel as needed
This is an exempt level position with a salary range between $85,000 and $110,000 with a competitive bonus structure. PFS offers medical, dental, vision, Company paid STD/LTD and Life Insurance. Employment is contingent upon a successful background check and drug screen.
