About This Job

Comco Pipe & Supply Company is currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Operations Administrator with a strong focus on Mill Test Reports (MTRs). This position plays a critical role in maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring timely communication with customers, internal teams, and transport partners.

Location: Puslinch, ON Day Shift | Monday to Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

Mill Test Reports (MTRs):

•

Ensure accurate and timely distribution of MTRs to customers and internal personnel.

•

Scan and input MTRs into ERP software.

•

Verify MTRs for specifications such as chemistry/mechanical properties, NACE, H2S, and AML.

•

Retrieve and attach MTRs to applicable sales and work orders.

•

Review internal order comments and shipping instructions to ensure compliance.

•

Confirm MTR availability for sales order returns before restocking.

•

Report MTR non-conformances via QARs.

•

Place on hold any products with unclear or non-compliant MTRs until resolved.

•

Communicate MTR issues or concerns to the Sales team.

Operations & Administrative Support:

•

Greet and assist transport drivers professionally and courteously.

•

Handle inquiries from customers/vendors and dispatch via phone, email, and in person.

•

Monitor ERP system to track order scheduling and on-time delivery.

•

Release orders to Material Handlers in ERP software.

•

Prepare accurate shipping documentation, including bills of lading and tallies.

•

File documents electronically (e.g., packing lists, pick slips, inspection reports).

•

Enter QARs as required.

Qualifications and Requirements

•

Education: High school diploma required; post-secondary education in Business Administration preferred.

•

Experience: Previous MTR and/or office administration experience preferred.

•

Experience: Previous Carbon Steel - pipe, fitting, & flanges - experience is considered an asset

•

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

•

High level of accuracy and proficiency in data entry.

•

Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.

•

Strong organizational and time management skills.

•

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.

•

Professional, team-oriented attitude.
