Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for an Operational Support Specialist opportunity to support the Savannah River Site

Operational Support Specialist -
This position is primarily involved in work in the computer field performing systems analysis, design, development, documentation, testing, or modification of computer systems or programs. The role involves understanding of Governance, Risk, and Compliance practices to ensure system and data integrity. The position exercises discretion and judgment. The Operational Support Specialist will have a depth of knowledge within designated Information Technology (IT) area of responsibility that is applied to diverse assignments. This position may collaborate with customers, vendors, industry consultants, and company management in order to drive results. This role supports IT projects and may guide and share knowledge with other IT staff.
Duties/Responsibilities:
•Maintain critical planning, monitoring, and reporting processes as well as required documentation, for the timely coordination and completion of report-building tasks.
•Work closely with team members and stakeholders to understand report requirements and contribute to the alignment of software solutions with organizational goals.
•Analyze requests after intake to ensure requirement gathering is completed with the requestor.
•Develop (or assist in developing) SQL Server Reports or Power Business Intelligence dashboards.
•Maintain a customer-focused approach, addressing user needs and ensuring report and dashboard solutions meet end-user requirements.
•Contribute to the development and coding of enterprise-level reporting systems.
•Participate with cross-functional team members in issue identification, process impacts, and solution development discussions to optimize end-to-end solutions.
•Demonstrate proficiency in programming languages, frameworks, and tools relevant to report and dashboard development.
•Communicate effectively with team members, providing updates on project progress, escalating complex problems to higher-level specialists and seeking guidance when needed.
•Maintain documentation related to software development, including coding standards, procedures, and user manuals.
•Stay informed about industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in software development.
•Contribute ideas for process improvements and innovative solutions to enhance software applications.
•Participate in training programs and collaborative knowledge-sharing activities within the team to enhance individual and collective expertise.
•Promote, encourage and model Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) principles across employees and contractors.
•Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and regulations, such as data privacy and cybersecurity standards.
•Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards

•Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job
•May need to travel to attend to business related matters
•Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality
Education/Skills:
•Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and five (5) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to nine (9) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
•Demonstrated capability in technical writing and documentation development.
•Knowledge in the field of enterprise Microsoft Windows architecture.
•Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
•Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
•Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
•Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
