The On-Site Lead is responsible for overseeing and performing critical audits and QC of the entire operation at our Partner 3PL Location, from ensuring material flow is achieved without defects as well as timely customer orders are processed. Additionally, performing key work in resolving product hold issues expeditiously and ensuring proper flow of process and procedures. Working closely with ST leadership, 3PL Teams and customer support is essential. In this position, you will report to a Branch Manager.
We are seeking a talented Onsite Lead to join our team. The Onsite Lead is responsible for the following:
- Leads and assists shipping and receiving teams in shipping and receiving audits.
- Tracks/documents for incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Monitors/Audits incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, accurate labelling and condition of shipments.
- Verifies/Audits accuracy of shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records.
- Conducts periodic reviews, with ST management, to ensure continued build out of clearly defined processes and suggest changes for improvement.
- Partners with ST Sales Team and customer to determine shipping requirements and receiving schedules, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
- Inspects/audits loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications.
- Monitor product movement from inbound receiving to storage and ultimately customer shipping.
- Manage product hold and ongoing audits in resolving issues.
- Works and maintains daily morning reports.
- Compiles records of unfilled orders and posts of weight and shipping charges. Prepares required department records and reports.
- Recommend measures to improve productivity, equipment performance, and quality of service, and suggest changes in working conditions to increase efficiency.
- Trains and assist partner workers in shipping and receiving activities.
- Required to assist in trouble shooting when material inbound or outbound does not match the PO/Bill of Lading.
- Supports host 3PL team in customs related activities in servicing identified target customers.
- Meets regularly with 3PL Leadership to discuss performance and share state of the business.
- Open to learning and developing proficiency in our ERP system (MDS) to transact material in and out of the system.
- Manages relationships with ST materials teams as well as and suppliers.
- Knowledge of SAP is desired and a plus.
