Oilfield Dispatcher

Position Overview

Rick’s Oilfield Hauling is seeking an experienced Oilfield Fluid Dispatcher to join our growing team. This role is critical to the safe, efficient, and compliant movement of fluids across Alberta. Oilfield and fluid hauling experience are mandatory.

This position operates on a 7 days on / 7 days off rotation and offers competitive compensation based on experience and knowledge, with opportunities for advancement within the company.

Schedule & Compensation

Shift: 7 days on / 7 days off

Compensation: Competitive salary, commensurate with experience

Key Responsibilities

· Coordinate and schedule daily fluid hauling operations

· Dispatch drivers safely and efficiently in a high-volume oilfield environment

· Assign routes and loads while optimizing efficiency and minimizing delays

· Utilize dispatching and operational software to manage shipments and records

· Maintain clear, professional communication with drivers, customers, and internal teams

· Handle incoming calls on a multi-line phone system with strong customer service skills

· Provide drivers with instructions, updates, and issue resolution as required

· Ensure accurate data entry and maintain detailed dispatch and shipment records

· Work closely with operations, shipping, and receiving teams

· Monitor and support Hours of Service (HOS) compliance

· Multitask effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Mandatory Requirements

· Oilfield industry experience

· Fluid hauling experience

· Ability to work a 7 days on / 7 days off rotation

· Previous dispatcher experience (preferred)

· Valid Class 1 or Class 3 driver’s license (preferred)

· Strong knowledge of Hours of Service (HOS) regulations

· Solid understanding of shipping and receiving processes

· Strong knowledge of TDG requirements

· Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

· High level of computer proficiency, including dispatch software and mobile devices

· Excellent customer service and professional phone etiquette

· Clear verbal and written communication skills

· Strong attention to detail and data accuracy

· Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced oilfield dispatch environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
